Hachey's Auto Enhancing - Undercoating Services

Undercoating Services by Hachey Auto EnhancingWhen we undercoat your vehicle we do one of the most comprehensive jobs you will find anywhere.  We start by putting our vehicle up on our 9,000 lb. rotary asymmetrical lift and inspecting the undercarriage. Once the inspection is done we begin cleaning and prepping the underside for spraying.  the prep work includes taking off your rims & tires (including your spare tire) and covering up the brakes.  We wrap your entire exhaust system with newspaper, wrap the drive shafts also, then wrap the bottom seam lines of the vehicle with clear drape all to keep over spray off of everything.  We clean the underside by pressure washing it if needed, putting compressed air to places that hold pockets of dirt, using a whiste broom or wire brush to knock off the scaly stuff, and sometimes putting a 4" angle grinder to areas that need real attention.  Once the prep work is done we get busy applying a rust converter first, which not only stops any existing rust in it tracks, it also stops any new rust from forming.  The areas that we coat are the outside of the frame rails, brake and fuel lines, wheel wells, fender wells, the bottom of the cab, bottom side of rocker panels, bottom side of the bed, and inside of the rear bumper.  Once this first layer is done and dry then we spray an industrial wax undercoating on top of all the same areas so everything has a double layer of protection, plus the undercoating itself acts as a sound deadener to help keep the road noise down.  When done this service will add years of life to your vehicle.

Your tires are what is causing the damage to the underside of your car or truck.  They act like a non-stop sand blaster, picking up dirt, rocks, sand, salt, water, and snow, which is constantly chewing away at your vehicle.  We are a preventative maintenance business.  Which means you spend a little money now protecting your investment or you spend a lot of money a few years down the road repairing or replacing your once investment.  Look at it this way folks if you have the opinion of I'll just drive it until it rots, thats great, that means that you are our kind of customer. So why spend thousands in repair costs when you really didn't have to, when you could have spent hundreds of dollars preventing the problem, RUST.  If you have us undercoat your vehicle plan on coming back for small touch ups every 3 years on average depending on your driving habits.  The tires are now sandblasting the undercoating instead of the metal so yes it will wear and need to be maintained.

Any vehicles with very dirty or severely rusted undercarriages will need extra prep work in order to coat them properly, therefore an additional charge of $100/ hour will apply. New or like new vehicles will not need several extra hours of prep work so the prices listed are the price you pay just used vehicles may require lots of extra prep time, so a visual quote will need to take place in order to give you an accurate estimate.  Every vehicle that gets a rustproofing and a undercoating receives a express level detailing immediately after getting sprayed so your vehicle is nice and clean inside and out when you pick it up. This comes with stage 1 exterior detailing.

Free touch up on your undercoating service, once a year, with any level detailing.
